Obituary
Michael Dominick Capozzoli, age 65, having courageously battled cancer years ago and winning, was called home by God on October 13, 2021.
Mike was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on November 20, 1955 to Anthony and Josephine Capozzoli. He went to technical school for electronics in New Jersey before moving to Florida at the age of 23. Once in Florida, he worked for Channel 12 and then Perry Tritech in West Palm Beach, FL. He and his wife Linda were married in 1985 and, later that year, their daughter Michelle was born. They eventually moved to Ocala, FL to fulfill the family’s dream of building and owning a horse farm. While in Ocala, Mike played an integral part in running the horse farm, and at one point, he even managed another farm. He retired from the Marion County School System in July of this year.
Mike will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, which he shared often at the various churches he and his family attended. Beyond his family, he will be sorely missed by all those he helped while fulfilling a scripture (James 1:27) in which he wholeheartedly believed: taking care of widows and orphans in their affliction. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Linda; his daughter Michelle; his grandson Kellan; his granddaughter Kinsley; his sisters Margaret Warchol, Elaine Mochetti, Linda Mendzela; his brother Anthony; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A very caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend, Mike will be missed always.
Family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Mike’s life on Saturday, November 27 at 1:00 PM at Cross Pointe Church (5494 SW 50th Ct, Ocala, FL 34474). The Church will be live streaming the service at www.crosspointchurchocala.org . In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital – Mike donated monthly to them – (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html).
