Obituary
Michael DeCandia 82, of Port Orange, Fl. formerly of Boca Raton, Fl and New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Halifax Hospice in Port Orange.
Michael was born in Molfetta, Bari Italy to the late Gennaro and Rosa DeCandia and came to the United States in 1955.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Josephine De Candia; oldest son Gennaro DeCandia; daughter Roseann Flowers, her husband Tom, and their 2 children, Thomas and Melissa; youngest son Joseph DeCandia, his wife Trena, and their 2 sons, William and Michael; brother Tomasso DeCandia and his wife Theresa; Sisters-in-law Lucy Cimillo and her husband, Tony, and Lucretia Laird; plus many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
In loving memory, his late siblings, Angela Abbattista and Sergio DeCandia.
Michael was a true family-man who was always loved by all who knew him. He was a dedicated, loyal, and loving husband and father who had a fun sense of humor right down to the last days of his life. He loved to cook, play card games with family, and enjoyed watching cooking and game shows, baseball, football and soccer.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Boca Raton, Fl. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to a charity of personal choice.
