Obituary
Michael J. Cheselka was Called to his eternal reward from his home in Port Orange, Florida, on Sunday, September 25, 2016. He was born, in Cleveland, on January 3, 1934. Preceded in death by his high-school sweetheart and loving wife of 62 years, Jean (Bevaqua). Dear father of Michael Jr. (Nancy Margaret Russo), Michele (Thomas Jordan), Mitchell (Pamela Etling), and Matthew. Survived by brother Alfred and sister Justine (Evans). Grandfather of Gina, Stephanie, Dominic and Denelle and great-grandfather of Mercedes, Liam, Bronson and Islee. Mike graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and a Masters in Education from Kent State University. Served as a schoolteacher in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights school system and also served the community of Broadview Heights as a member of City Council and as Council President. He also served up a darn good pizza at several of the Angie’s Pizza shops he opened across the county. Mike loved coaching, bowling, golf, and raising his family. He was a charter member of the “old school”. Private memorial services for family and friends will be held at a later date.
