Obituary
Michael Lee Clear, 73, passed away at home in The Villages, Florida, on October 23, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on September 15, 1947 in Anderson, Indiana to William and Ethel (Mallia) Clear. Michael was a Vietnam Vet serving in the US Army as a radiology technician. Michael spent 20 years at St. John’s Medical Center as a surgical assistant before changing careers to a National Parks employee in Northern Virginia for 21 years until retirement. Michael was a devoted husband to his wife of 49 years, and totally loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren (Crawford) Clear; children, Christopher Charles (& Susan) Clear of Woodbridge, VA and Michelle Lee (& Gregory) Moyer, of Cary, NC, and two grandchildren, Madison and Gabrielle Moyer; sister Juanita (& Gary) Fulp of Michigan, sister-in-law, Ann (Blue) Clear, and cousin, Linda (Mallia) Zigler. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William “Bill” Clear, of Anderson, Indiana.
Michael will be remembered for his cheerful look on life, loving what he did and helping others. He touched many people with his laughter and kindness.
Funeral service will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia at which time we will have a Celebration of Life for Michael.
