Obituary
Michael Geoffrey Morgan, MD 79, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on August 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born on April 5, 1939 in Miami, FL to the late Francis Bell Morgan and Alyce Ernestine (Gorman) Morgan. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the era of the Vietnam conflict as a Captain and Flight Surgeon. He was also a part of NATO Forces serving in England and France in the 1960’s. Michael was a graduate of the University of Florida, with an Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Science. He was a member of SAE. Michael was a Graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School, Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated with honors. He was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Michael was a General Practitioner for 30 years in Lehigh Acres, and was on the board of Trustee’s at Lehigh Acres General Hospital before retiring in 1999. Michael loved golfing and photography and was a Commercial Pilot. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Morgan; his daughter, Kimberley Mancini and her husband Phil; his son, Michael L. Morgan; his grandchildren, Matthew Mancini, Emmerson Morgan, and Juliette Morgan; his step son, Shane Sands; and his step grandchildren, Kodie Richardson, Shane Sands Jr., Reese Sands, and Blake Sands. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Michael to the, Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 12468 Brantley Commons Ct, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
