Michael Paul Hayes, 78 of Winter Park, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, April 06, 2012 with his wife and family by his side. Based on the Bible’s promise at John 5:28, he is resting until the resurrection takes place. Michael was born October 6, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio. He served his country with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Linda on August 2, 1969. Michael was known to his family and friends as funny, intelligent, and supportive to all of them in their endeavors. He was an amazing husband and devoted father to his children. Michael could be found on almost any given evening or weekend in his yard and garden, tending to his yard as he did to his family to make a beautiful home for all. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Linda; son, Michael, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Laura; two daughters, Fonda and son-in-law, Artur Sikora and Felina and son-in-law, Mike Baggett and four grandchildren, Autumn and Lilyan Hayes, Jacqueline Ernst and Canyon Baggett. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 from 3-5PM, at the Winter Park Chapel, 301 W. New England Avenue, Winter Park.
In lieu of sending flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the local Alzheimer’s Chapter, 378 Center Point Circle, Suite 1280, Altamonte Springs, Fl 32701.
