Barb, I am so sorry for your loss. Though words and prayers will never take the place of your life with Mike, please know that I think about you and your family often and hope and pray peace will be yours soon.

Losing weight while getintg in shape is often a challenge. Remember that muscle, which you are certainly creating, weighs more than fat, which you are losing. I've lost a lot of waist, and have a lot less fat, but have only really lost about 20 pounds since starting running 3 years ago.Debt and credit cards. You're right. Here's a trick to ensuring credit cards are for emergencies. Take any you have and freeze them into a block of ice. Keep that in the freezer. You will quickly find that "emergency" takes on a whole new meaning when you have to defrost your card in order to use it.

I am very sorry to read of the passing of your beloved Michael. It seems that life is such a precious gift and yet so short-lived for the time we exist. I am writing to share a few words of comfort and encouragement from the bible. God holds out a wonderful hope for all those in the grave. At John 11:25 Jesus said "I am th resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." The nine accounts of ones in the bible who were resurrected are a guarantee that the resurrection of others is possible. God can bring back the billions of dead he holds within his perfect memory. (John 5-28,29) What a blessed reason to hope in God! With the gift of your memories of Michael, they will bring you great joy. When a loved one becomes a memory that memory turns into a treasure. May you and yours lean on Jehovah God, the God of all comfort, for the strength you need at this sad time. (PSALMS 83:18)
