Obituary
Michael J Tuohey Sr., age 76, passed away on February 13, 2023 in Clermont, Florida. He previously lived in Aston, Pa. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Ashton), sharing 53 years of marriage.
He was born in Darby, Pa on January 12, 1947. Mike attended St James High School class of 1964 and St Joseph’s University. He proudly served his country in the Army, serving 18 months in Vietnam.
He worked as an accountant at PECO Energy in Philadelphia, Pa for 33 years until his retirement in Dec 2002. After retirement, he and Arlene loved to travel. Mike started running in 1977 and belonged to Delco Road Runners for many years. He ran both full and half marathons. He still ran 5k fun runs and was an avid bicyclist. He worked at Walt Disney World for the past 18 years and had so much fun working there.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his children, Heather Panik (Denny) and Michael Tuohey Jr.; two grandchildren, Christopher and Melanie Panik; his sister, Anna Bradley and his brother, William Tuohey, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Anna Tuohey, sisters, Rosemary Moore and Joan Nagle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 3, 2023 at St. Agnes Parish, 233 W Gay St, West Chester, Pa, 19380 where family and friends will be received from 9:45 am until 10:45 am. Following the Mass, interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Chesapeake City, Md.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Florida at a later date.
