Obituary

Michele (Mickey) Kavanagh Hartman, passed away peacefully at Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater, FL.  on March. 23, 2012. She died from a two year battle with cancer. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Hartman of New Smyrna Beach, FL, her mother and step father, Revis and Ronald Osler, of Port St. Lucie, Fl, her brother and his wife, John and Kris Kavanagh of Edgewater, FL. She was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Missimer and her father Mark Kavanagh. Michele was born in Miami, Fl and raised in Stuart, Fl. She became a veterinarian technician and loved animals. She later became an insurance agent and a bookkeeper before moving to New Smyrna beach in 2011. She loved to fish and loved the ocean.  She was an amazing and caring friend to many and an extraordinary mother, always full of love. Although she will be greatly missed, she will forever be with us in our hearts. Michele wanted us to remember the joy, the laughter and the smiles in all the great memories we have of her. Take strength in knowing another Angel is watching over us. As her daughter, all that I am or hope to be I owe to my Angel, Mom. In lieu of remembrances, memorial donations are requested to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Dr., Tampa, Fl 33612 or Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia County, Southeast Volusia Care Center 4140 South Ridgewood Edgewater, FL 32141.  So many amazing people helped us in every way possible with her ongoing fight and admired, loved and were loved dearly by Michele. There will be a life celebration held at Bethune Beach in New Smyrna at 4 p.m. on April 21, 2012. Bring a beach chair and come celebrate Michele’s life as we gather together to a place that she loved so much.
