Obituary

Mildred Ann Miller, known to all as Micke, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away October 26, 2025, at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida.  Born March 19, 1930, in Takoma Park, Maryland, she was the second daughter of Louise Ellen Robinson McDonald and Otis Roe.  She became the matriarch of the family of the six surviving siblings when Ms. McDonald passed away at too young an age.  She much revered her stepfather, Edward Baker McDonald.

She was well-known in the Rockville/Bethesda area of Maryland for her business enterprises: Ladies Golf Digest and Wheaton Modeling Studio.  She was widely respected for her bookkeeping/accounting acumen as business manager for Thomassen Lincoln-Mercury of Rockville, Maryland.  Later in life, she was bookkeeper for Silks by MU in Ft. Myers, FL, owned by her niece, Katherine Regina Snitker, and husband Ron.

She resided her last several happy years at The Windsor of Cape Coral.

Pre-deceased by her husband Clayton Hoyt Miller, her two beloved children, Sharon (Shere) Babette Courtenay and Brent Edward McMullen, and one grandson, William Dana (BG) Goodwin, she is survived by two sisters, June Hazel Dwyer of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Charlotte Marie Masser of Frederick, Maryland, her nephew Edward William (Buck) Rush and wife Michelle, and many other nieces and nephews.  She is survived by six granddaughters, Tiffany Babette Goodwin Maley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sheila Baxley Thomas, Sharon Baxley Ritchie, Meghan Christel Withrington, Siobhan Kathleen Ash, and Rhianna Bryn McMullen, all of Cape Coral, Florida, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She will be remembered by many as loving, sweet, and kind.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
