Obituary

Mildred “Millie” Ellen Mills Hager, born on June 20, 1924, in Basin, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, at the age of 100. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mildred’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering spirit.

Mildred was married to Okey Lee Hager Jr., with whom she shared a fulfilling and loving life. She is survived by her three children: Gerald Lee Hager (Sharon); Sheila Hager Givens (Gary); and Thomas Neil Hager (Cindy). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Brian Hager (Kristen), Mallory Davis (Eric), Whitney Hager, Tyler Hager (Molly), Amanda Hager, and Aaron Hager, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Eleanor Hager, and Brooks Davis.

Throughout her century-long journey, Mildred embraced each day with grace, warmth, and a deep love for her family. Her life was a beacon of kindness and strength, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her.

A celebration of Mildred’s life will be held on August 13th, 2024 at Baldwin Brothers New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity or organization of your choice.

Millie’s memory will forever be cherished, living on in the hearts of her loved ones and inspiring future generations with her enduring love and wisdom.
