Obituary

Mildred Mae Rogers passed away February 4, 2020 at the age of 88 years.  She was born in Vaughan, West Virginia to Sylvia and Roscoe Holcomb.  Mildred was a retired teacher and held a Bachelor Degree from Marshall University in Huntington, W. VA.  She was also a National & State Flower Designer and Judge. 

Mildred was a member of Stetson Baptist Church in Deland and was also a former Deland Garden Club member. Her hobbies included: Traveling, Gardening, Bowling, Water Skiing, Watching Sports, Decorating Cakes, Flower design and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed music and singing and sang in a Quartet when she was younger with her father.

Mildred was predeceased by sisters: Patty Holcomb, Peggy Oxendine and Alma Cousins.

She is survived by her spouse Jack R. Rogers and daughter Beverly Rickert and son-in-law Ken Rickert, Brother Danny Holcomb, Sister Dreama Teixeira, Grandsons: Justin Rickert, Brandon Rickert, Garett Rickert and Great Grandchildren: Caleb Rickert, Kenzie Rickert, Jack Rickert, Emma Rickert and Paxton Rickert and over 50 nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to: Deland Garden Club or Children Ministry at Stetson Baptist Church. 

Visitation will be held Monday February 10, 2020 at 10am with a Service at 11am followed by a Burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at 2pm.
