Mitchell “Mitch” Dennis Sykora, 73, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice.

Born on February 8, 1952, in Bloomer, Wisconsin, to Mary Lois (Smith) Sykora and Jacob L. Sykora, Mitch’s life was marked by warmth, humor, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone he met.

Renowned for his quick wit and easygoing nature, Mitch was a bright light in the lives of those around him. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures of reading, sharing hearty meals at Golden Corral, unwinding with a drink and smoke, and engaging in heartfelt conversations with friends. His cheerful presence and genuine kindness made him truly special.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lois and Jacob Sykora. Mitch’s friends will forever cherish his wit, his warm personality, and his welcoming, approachable demeanor.
