Monica Fay Verge (Duclaw) 86, died peacefully in Ocala, Florida on January 25, 2018
Monica is survived by her loving husband Isadore (Izzy) of 68 years, daughter Patrica Comforti of Mendon, Massachusetts, son David of Goshen, Massachusetts, sisters Winona Chamberlain of Bellingham, Massachusett, Anita Watson of Webster, Massachusetts, brother Verne Duclos of Braintree, Vermont, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Monica was born on November 3, 1931 in Randolph, Vermont to Eugene and Katharine DuClos (Duclaw).She graduated from the Randolph High School in 1948, She married Isadore in 1949 and they began a small dairy farm in Chelsea, Vermont and raising two children. Several years later, they moved to Massachusetts where she eventually began managing the Commonwealth Gas Company Employee Credit Union in Worcester, Massachusetts. After retiring from the Credit Union, Monica and Izzy traveled extensively throughout the Continental United States in their RV before finally settling in Ocala, Florida. An exceptionally good cook, she especially enjoyed her family, friends, camping and reading. Known to all that she met for her kindness and generosity.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Wanda Carlisle, Altha Groleau, and Phyliss Noones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
