Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce death of Muriel Letetia Foehner on the morning of April, 4 2017 at the age of 86.
Born on April 13, 1930 in Athens, PA to John and Altie Anderman, she spent most of her childhood and adolescence in Elmira, NY before eventually graduating high school from Elmira Free Academy. She then pursued her one and only career choice to become a Registered Nurse by attending Robert Packer Nursing School in Sayre, Pa. After graduation, she travelled across the country to California with friends to work for a short time before returning to the east coast to work in New York City at Cornell Hospital.
Upon returning to Elmira, she met and married Robert Edward Foehner on May 17, 1958. At this time, she paused her career to give birth and raise her 5 sons; Christian, Daryl, Mark, Gary and Eric. After residing in New Jersey and then Virginia, and also having her youngest son settled into school, she resumed her career as a nurse before moving the whole family to Florida in 1979. She continued to work until 2007 while enjoying the addition of her many grandchildren to the family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, as well as her brother Dale Anderman and his wife Phyllis and her sister Elece Nester and her husband Robert.
She is survived by her 5 sons and their spouses; Nancy, Cheryl, Mary and Michelle. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; Christine and her husband Kyle, Sean, Corey, Andrew, Joshua, Ryan, Kyle, Penelope and Wesley.
Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Lauren and Tony Cristafano, Karen and Chris Paul, Michael and Dawn Nester, and many more too numerous to mention each individually from her husband’s side of the family tree.
And lastly, she leaves behind her two closest lifelong friends; Mary Ellen Woodley and Joanna Gorsky.
Love you and Cheryl so much!
