Obituary

Mary Noaska, Age 87, recently of Port Orange, passed gently into the arms of her Savior on April 14, 2021. Mary is survived by her daughters: Susan Roe, (David), East Palatka; Sandra Thompson, (Greg), Port Orange; Sharon Forbes (Tony), Palatka; and Michelle Prather (Tallahassee); her five Grandchildren, Matthew Roe, Jessica Barlow, Katherine Berrian, Jennifer Prather, Megan Prather; four great grandchildren, Landon & Rylan Barlow and Eloise & Evelyn Berrian and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her parents; one sister, Betty; and one brother, John.

Mary was born in Scranton, PA to Eleazer and Sarah Morris. She was the first member of her family born in the US after the family immigrated from Wales. She grew up in the Binghamton, NY area and after graduating from high school went to Binghamton State Nursing School. It was there that she met and married Frank Noaska, Jr. They moved around upstate New York and then moved to Florida in 1968. They settled in Palatka in 1977. Mary worked as a nurse for many years and then worked as an estimator at Atlas Truss for 21 years until her retirement. Mary found joy in spending time with her family, reading, music, being active in the church and gardening.  The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
