Obituary
Nancy Jeanne nee Morser Linville died peacefully in The Villages, Florida on April 6, 2021 at the age of 91.
Nancy was born on May 27, 1929 in Racine, Wisconsin to the late Earle and late Doris (Dickey) Morser.
Nancy is survived by her children, Carol (Steve) Broos of The Villages, Florida, Mary (Rick Gomes) Brown of Savannah, Georgia, and David (Heidi) Linville of Tampa, Florida. Her grandchildren, Casey (Meghan) Brown, Lisa Brown, Tim Brown, and William Linville and her great-grandchildren, Carter Bea, Lilah, Jones, Rhett and Nolan. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Amendola of Fletcher, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband William David Linville and her brother, William (Jackie) Earle Morser.
She grew up in Hubbard Woods, Illinois where her family moved to Long Lake, Illinois. She graduated from high school in three years, then attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois where she met her husband, Bill Linville (1926-1980). They were married in 1950. She lived in Deerfield, Illinois for 57 years before moving in 2014 to The Villages, Florida seven years ago.
She was a leader in the community for many years at The First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield as head of the Deaconess, president of the Youth Academy, and countless other organizations such as the Moraine Girl Scout Council.
A widow at a young age, she embarked on a new career as running the bookstore at Deerfield High School for thirty-four years, before retiring at the age of 82.
She was an avid traveler and artist, instilling the love of God, community and the arts for all who knew her. Her positive attitude was a role model for all.
Services will be held at a later time and will be private.
Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
