Obituary

Nancy Jean Paige, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home September 5, 2019 in Cape Coral, Florida. Nancy Jean Semones was born January 22, 1937, in Madison, Ohio to George and Esther Semones. She had one older brother George. Nancy graduated from Madison High School where she had been head majorette in the marching band all four years. She loved music, played the piano, and could type faster than anyone. Nancy’s work ethic was tireless. She was devoted to raising her two children, while she managed two bowling alleys in Portland, IN, then seventeen cottages in Madison-on-the-Lake, OH, and worked many years as a bank teller.

Nancy married Robert Paige on July 5, 1985, and became a cherished “bonus mom” to Bob’s five children. Nancy & Bob spent years living on a boat in the Florida Keys, in her childhood home in Madison, OH, and built a cabin in Coker Creek, TN, before settling in Cape Coral, FL. Nancy loved all people, and made many dear friends wherever she lived.  She was a cherished grandma to many, and loved boating, fishing, apple picking, and attending their ball games and band concerts.  Nancy is survived by her husband, her daughter Leslie (Pete) Kalbach, son Lindley Buchanan, and stepchildren Rob (Cheryl) Paige, Jeff (Nida) Paige, Doug (Maura) Paige, Patti (Scott) Stilin, and Dave (Dysthe) Paige, and 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother.
