If roses grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day.
But there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.

2020 is almost over - and what a year it has been. Mom has been gone almost 6 months now - however there is not a day goes by that i don't find myself picking up the phone to call her to share something I saw or read that I thought she would enjoy hearing about. But reality sets in and I remember she isn't going to be answering - then the heartbreak starts all over again My only solace at this time is knowing that Mom is no longer in pain and in heaven with her loved ones who are also there. So while the very selfish part of me is so heartbroken that she is not here with me. The compassionate/loving side of me knows she is in a much better place now - and for that i am truly happy for her! Mom, I miss you every single day and LYA!!!

One of my best friends and my big sister...We were a lot alike and I am going to miss you fiercely...I love you and hope you are now pain free and happy

Mother, friend, confidant, advisor – my Mom was all these things to me and so much more. Reality is still setting in that she is no longer with me. I see or hear something that I think she would like to know, like telling her the Hallmark Channel is running their “Christmas in July” movies – she loved her Christmas movies!! I pick-up the phone to call her, then realize she will not be answering. Despite the heartache and pain I’m feeling, I know she is in a much better place – she is pain free, happy, and with her loved ones. I am not going to say good-bye to her because I know we will be reunited. So for now, I will say LYA – miss you – and I will see you later!
