Nathaniel Scott Whitener, 23, of Ocala, FL, passed away on January 2, 2015. Nathaniel was born on January 18, 1991 in Oakland, CA. He moved to the area from California in June 2007. Nathaniel was an electrician. He was a firearms enthusiast and had a passion for the military and hoped to join the Marine Corp. Nathaniel also enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a very loyal and protective person who was patient, intelligent, resourceful and inventive. He will be remembered by his friends as an accomplished rapper. Nathaniel is survived by his parents, Chris Whitener and Christine Burns, both of Ocala, FL, paternal grandparents, Bob and Jan Whitener, Ocala, FL, and maternal grandparents, Ed and Diane Haussler, Oakland, CA.
