Neal McIntosh Wenzel, 88, of Ocala, passed away on January 16^th after an extensive fight with COPD.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Wenzel; children, Ann Allen and husband, Donald, of Austin Texas; son, John M. Wenzel and wife, Diane, of Orange Park, Florida; Richard H. Wenzel of Lawrenceville, Georgia; daughter, Robin Kay Ewin and husband, Gary, of Winter Haven, Florida; son, Charles David Wenzel of Midway Florida. He is preceded in death by his Father Herbert and Mother Katherine Wenzel and Brother Herbert Wenzel of Chicago, Illinois.

Neal served in the Coast Guard off the coast of Florida, after high school. He then received an Associate’s Degree from the University of Alabama. Neal worked as a civil service employee in Texas and California. Neal changed his profession to Architecture/engineering fields and worked in Oregon. He then moved to Central Florida until his retirement.

Neal will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida on February 4^th in a private ceremony.
