Obituary
Neil Charles Chapman, Jr., 53, passed away Sunday July 25, 2021, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was born November 9, 1967, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Neil C. Chapman Sr. and his wife Pamela Cusworth Chapman.
Neil began working in the building trades as a flooring installer, and worked his way up through the industry. He qualified first as a licensed residential contractor, and ultimately as a certified general contractor who built and remodeled many homes throughout southeast Volusia county. Neil also owned a small business in New Smyrna Beach buying and selling precious metals. In his 20s and 30s he successfully competed in many karate tournaments. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing, fast cars and playing billiards. He was a beloved father, husband, son, and brother as well as a trusted friend to many.
Neil was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Adams and is survived by both of his parents, his sister Carol Rudolph, brother Lynn Schreiber, Jr., his wife Melissa Chapman, son Edward Chapman, daughter Amelia Chapman, and many extended family members and friends.
