Obituary

Nicholas Leonard “Nick” James, 75, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. He was born in Garrison, North Dakota to Clifford and Rose James. Nick worked as a heavy mechanic in the coal mining industry. He was US Army veteran and will be interred at the Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND.

Nick was predeceased by his parents, first wife, Ann James in (2006) and brother Dennis James.

He is survived by his wife Ann James of Ocala, daughter Carolyn (Rick) Fode, son Donald James, stepson Troy (Sandra) Buckelew, stepdaughter Tess (George) Coleman, brothers Tim (Rebecca) James, Tom James, Mike (Mary) James, sisters Donna James ,Pam (Rich) Rice, twelve grandchildren,and nine greatgrandchildren.

Nick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family was everything to him. He loved playing golf and taking road trips.

A memorial service with military honors is being planned for June, 2022, (date to be announced), at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society in Timber Ridge is handling local arrangements. (352)-236-7813.

    Nick was a great member of our group and I loved to play on his team. He always had a very positive attitude and a kind word for everyone he played with. I miss his smile and great humor.

    Although I only knew you for less than 5 years, you seemed like a lifelong friend. I’ll miss playing golf with you and laughing about some of the silly things people do. May you Rest In Peace as you are reunited with family and friends that have gone before you.
