Obituary

Nicholas LiBassi, age 79, passed away on October 11, 2021.

He is survived by his wife Laurel and his three children, Jill (Terence), Nicky, Billy (Lisa) and grandson Michael Aloysius (Mac) and “Dog”ter Kesiha.

Nick was born on June 19,1942 in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to NJ as an adolescent where he spent most of his adult life before moving to Port Orange, FL in 2012.

Nick was a loving husband and father, proud grandfather, little brother, adoring uncle and friend to all he met. He was a proud Patriot and U.S. Navy Veteran.

Once retired Nick could be found on the golf course, working out at the gym, tinkering around the house, working on projects, and taking flying lessons. If you could not find him there you could find him in the kitchen. He loved preparing gourmet meals for friends and family.

Nick was a lifelong Yankee fan; he was known to get out his little black book after a few cocktails and start chatting away. In fact, his Irish friends told him never to kiss the Blarney Stone because he already possessed the gift of gab.

His family already misses him dearly and will always carry him in their heart.

A service is scheduled for Thursday, October 14 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Baldwin Brothers funeral home in Port Orange.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nick’s life. The family would ask that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Tomorrows Children’s Fund, 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ  07601 or online at https://www.tcfkid.org/donate/
