Nils George Lindroth

Nils George Lindroth, age 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 1, 2022. He was born on April 14, 1937, in New Haven, CT to his parents Nils Hugo Lindroth and Ruth Olivia Lindblad. He graduated from West Haven High School. On May 16, 1959, he married the love of his life Barbara Louise Erickson. In 1967 Barbara and Nils built a home in Clinton, CT where they raised their three children.
Nils worked for Southern New England Telephone as a telephone installer for over thirty years. In 1986 he was offered a retirement package due to SNET corporate reorganization and moved to Lehigh Acres, FL. There he worked as a telephone installer for Lehigh Corporation followed by five years with Gulf Coast Center Security. Nils was an avid bowler, both duck pin and ten pin, and he and Barbara loved to dance! In retirement he enjoyed volunteering for Hope Hospice, Meals on Wheels, as a Christmas bell ringer for Salvation Army, and Faith Lutheran Church.
Nils is survived by his sister, Margaret Lindroth Bogen of Cheshire, CT; his daughter Cheryl Mahon and her husband Steve of Colorado Springs, CO; his daughter Audra Phillips and her husband Rodney of Winter Springs, FL; his son Nils and his wife Angela of Lehigh Acres, FL; and his grandchildren Brett Mahon and his wife Allie, Sarah Jokela, Neil Mahon, Scott Jokela and his wife Ashley, Shane Phillips, and Spencer Phillips.
Nils’ family will be holding a private burial. Nils’ family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Hope Hospice Care Center in Lehigh Acres, FL
