Obituary

Norman Mathew Konieczki, age 85 passed away on November 22, 2021 in Edgewater, Florida.

Norman was born on November 15, 1936 in Dearborn, Michigan, to Joseph Frank Konieczka of Erie, Pennsylvania and Thresa Barbra Gorny Konieczki of Saginaw, Michigan.

Ellen Janet Konieczki, age 79, passed away on April 10, 2020 in Edgewater, Florida.

Ellen was born on October 15, 1940 in Trenton, Michigan, to Bernard Lawrence Scharboneau of Trenton, Michigan, and Juanita Eva Mathews  of River Rouge, Michigan.

Norman and Ellen were lifelong sweethearts, beginning at Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan.  They were married October 26, 1957 in New Boston, Michigan and honeymooned in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.  They were very happily married for 63 years.

Norman was employed by Willow Run Rubber & Lining Co. in Belleville, Michigan.  After which, he began his truck driving career and enjoyed it until his retirement.

Ellen began her nursing career at Washtenaw Community College, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  She was employed by Beyer Memorial Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan and later in life at Walmart Corporation in St. Cloud, Florida, until her retirement.

Their quick wit and sassy attitudes were always great entertainment.  Together they enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting, knitting, and visiting with family.  Retirement was one long vacation; every day was Saturday and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Norman and Ellen were preceded in death by their parents, sister Delphine Whitmer, sister Suzanne Mobley.  They are survived by their daughter, Susan Cecilia LaCroix (Albert); son, Curtis Michael Konieczki (Pamela); brothers Gerry Konieczki and family, Harry Scharboneau, Bill Scharboneau and John Scharboneau and their families.

Until We Meet Again

We think about you always,

We talk about you still,

You have never been forgotten,

And you never will.

We hold you close within our hearts,

And there you will remain,

To walk and guide us through our lives,

Until we meet again.”
