Oliver Henry Wall, Jr. "Ollie", 78, of New Smyrna Beach died Sunday October 18, 2009 at his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Wall was born November 4, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA. Ollie was a graduate of the class of 1948 from Stonewall Jackson High School and attended Morris Harvey College in Charleston, W. VA. He is a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Patty Jo Daniel on December 1, 1956 and they moved to Titusville in 1967 from Charleston, W. VA. Mr. Wall worked at the Kennedy Space Center for 30 years as a Support Test Conductor working with both the Apolllo and Shuttle program. Ollie was the first recipient of the "Snoopy Award" presented by Astronaut Dick Scobee. He is a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and was an avid tennis player and fisherman. Ollie is survived by his loving wife of 52 yeras, Patty Jo; children, Michael Scott Wall (Courtney) of Titusville and Elizabeth Mitchell-Wall of New Smyrna Beach; four grandchildren, Mandra Marie Mitchell of Orlando; Steve Monroe Mitchell II (Nicole) of Titusville; Rachel Michelle and Daniel Denham Wall of Titusville and many nieces and nephews. Ollie was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Ann and Oliver Henry Wall, Sr and his sister, Lois Jean Wall Morton.

I was so sorry to hear of Ollie's passing even tho I knew i would not see him again after Lois' service here. Ollie and I had been friends since about 1942. He was a good friend and a lot of fun to be with and will be missed by all of us. Even when you are seperated by distance and don't get to see friends as much as you would like you know they are there . Please convey to all the family my thoughts and prayers for all of you.
