P. William “Bill” Losnes, 84 of New Smyrna Beach died peacefully Friday, December 30, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Bill was born April 9, 1927 in New Haven, CT to the late Ida and Gustave Losnes. He served his country with the Merchant Marines and the Army. Bill married the love of his life, Betty Louise who preceded him in death on January 24, 2010. He was an avid sports fan of basketball, baseball and soccer. Bill and his wife, moved to New Smyrna Beach in 2004 from North Branford, CT. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Paula Losnes and loving son, Donald Losnes; cherished granddaughter, Kathryn Losnes and two brother in laws. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach with Reverend Don Reiter officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 10:30AM. Private entombment services will be held at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler or the Juvenile Diabetes organization.
