Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Apostolou, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021. Pat was born on July 20, 1943 in Joliet, IL to Elizabeth and Harold Riley, who preceded her in death. She was a long-time resident of Lake Villa, IL before building a dream home in Spring Grove, IL with Dennis “Denny” Apostolou, who she was married to for almost 50 years and also preceded her in death. After retirement, Pat relocated to sunny Fort Myers, Florida. Pat will be dearly missed by her children Bill (Terri) Apostolou and Debbie (Steve) Siedlecki. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Cody, Sierra, Brooke, and Ryan. Pat also leaves behind her brothers Mike (Cathy) Riley and Harold (Peggy) Riley, her sister Nancy (Lee) Hoffenkamp, many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Sweetie, who brought her so much joy.

Pat had a contagious smile that would light up the room. She was truly a selfless woman who always had positive words of encouragement. Pat touched many lives and gave her heart and soul to her family, who meant the world to her. She had a natural talent for gardening and growing the most exotic flowers. Pat enjoyed her sewing club where she created wonderful friendships and made impressive creations. She enjoyed many family vacations and special anniversary trips to California and Hawaii.

A joint memorial gathering will be held for Pat and Denny at a future date, please contact the family for further information.

So sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. We were so surprised to hear. She sounded good late last year when we talked last. We were neighbors in Sabal Springs. She took great care of our dog Josie at different times. We were animal lovers and enjoyed talking about our pets. She was a kind and thoughtful lady. May she Rest In Peace.
