Obituary
Patricia (Pat) Carol Lewis, 74, of Apopka, passed away peacefully in her sleep December 26, 2025, with loving husband Michael by her side.
Pat grew up in Long Island, NY and moved to Florida after graduating high school where she helped raise her nephews. She worked at Publix and Harris Corp while raising her 2 children. A longtime resident of Palm Bay, she moved to Apopka with Mike to be closer to her nephew Louis (Colleen) Avelli of Sorrento.
Pat was an accomplished Hair Stylist. She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her beloved cats. She was very generous, helping friends in need and donating to her favorite charities. She took care of her mother for her final years.
She also enjoyed traveling, taking many trips in search of Covered Bridges all across the Eastern States. She especially loved Hawaii and Vermont.
She will finally be reunited with her beloved sister Barbara, and her best friend mother-in-law Karen Lewis
Patricia is survived by son Shawn Boyer of Ocala, grandson Ethan Laboda of Ft Pierce, brother David Burghardt of Doraville Ga, brother-in-law James Lewis of Charlevoix, brother-in-law Andrew (Kerry) Lewis of East Lansing, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Fred and Dorothy Burghardt, sister Barbera (Anthony) Avelli, brother Theodore (Judith) Burghardt, daughter Pamela Laboda and parents in-law James and Karen Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of her favorite charities, St Jude’s Children’s Research, Second Harvest Food Bank, Salvation Army, and Toys for Tots.

When she turned forty I made her wear the older than dirt label and
But thoughtfulness, she went way beyond. When Muff died (my mother; her grandmother in-law) a year after, she sent remembrance flowers and it was such a lovely gesture I wanted to cry.
Her cards and gifts were always chosen with care and she knew everyone's likes and desires.
But underneath she was shy too ! Our family was pretty clannish, loud, sarcastic and I think we all overwhelmed her which she tolerated with grace. She will be missed by all of us. She died too young. What a waste of good humanity in an era where it is so rare.

Pat and I met in front of the Jr. High waiting for the late bus, shortly after she moved into the neighborhood. We hit it off from the start. That was more than 60 years ago. We had many adventures together, from family squabbles to boy problems during our teen years. We were always there for each other. Even though she moved away after high school, we remained friends. There was often a great deal of time between us getting together, we could pick right up where we left off the last time we saw each other. The pictures are from some of our best years. Out on our own, no parents telling us what we can and can’t do!
Although we have been separated physically, you will always be with me in my heart!
With love your friend, Carol Cronogue (Marcor)
We treasure her legacy of love, smile , and devotion to family and animals.
We are grateful for having her in our lives.
