Obituary
Patricia Jane Price Dodson passed away on February 11, 2022 at the age of 75, surrounded by family in Bradenton, Florida. Pat was extremely brave during her extended illness and stayed strong until the very end. She always had a beautiful smile on her face.
Pat was a caring wife, mother, meme, sister, and friend.
She was born to Dr. Lester and Anna Jane (Hoopman) Price on March 12, 1946. After graduating from Malabar High School Class of 1964 and attending Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, Pat married her husband, James Dodson on August 28th, 1965.
Pat loved spending time cooking, crafting, shelling at the beach, Disney World, RVing and traveling. Jim and Pat spent 12 years traveling in their RV and enjoyed meeting people from all over. Most of all, Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was very proud of her only grandson, Gerio and loved spending time together and spoiling him. She was also known to throw the best Christmas Eve parties! Pat enjoyed her time working at Head Start as a teacher. She was also very active in school functions, sporting events and volunteering her time to help out the local community for her children and grandson. She was also a life long member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 56 years James (Jim) Dodson, her children Amy (Rogerio) Fragale, Jill ( Michael) Dodson, her grandson Gerio Fragale, sister Janice Dickrede, niece and goddaughter Alison (Jonathan) Cochran, great nephew Justin Cochran and great nieces Kylie Cochran and Lindsey Cochran. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Lester and Anna Jane Price and her brother in-law Richard Dickrede.
Interment will be at Eternal Reefs in Sarasota Florida as Pat loved the beach, shells and ocean
