I don’t know if I ever told you, but I was lucky to be your daughter. You taught me kindness, generosity, faith, love, doing whatever you had to do to take care of your family and so much more.
My memories of you from lilacs to my lost Barbie doll to baking bread to that night having ice cream in bed to the baby blanket and every other in between are endless. And right now I am smiling with tears running down my face thinking of every one of them.
I never needed you to be perfect, I just needed you to be you and to be my mom. And you were everything I needed and more than I deserved. I am proud of you and I love you with everything I am and I hope more than anything that you know that. When you left you took a piece of me with you and nothing will ever be the same.
I know you are at peace and with him. I know you finally have your wings because you truly earned them.
I love you mommy. Always and forever.
Patti and I grew up across the street from each other in Deer Park on Long Island. She was my best friend growing up. We both only had brothers and we were as close as sisters. Patti graduated 4th in our high school class of over 600 students. She was whip smart and musically brilliant. Her friendship got me through my teenage years. Years later I caught up with Patti in Florida and had the pleasure of "meeting" her daughters on Facebook. Getting to know them has been my very great pleasure.
Rest in peace my friend.
So very sorry for the loss of your Mother. No words can help but time will heal your heart. Remember the good times you had together. Your happy memories will help you through this difficult time. Always know that I am here for you. My heart goes out to you all.
Love you,
Diane & Gary
