Obituary

Patricia Scherer Bass, “Namnaw,” beloved mother and grandmother peacefully left this earth to reside in her eternal home with our Lord on March 21 at her home. She was a native of Hawesville, Kentucky. Before retiring, she was a machine mechanic for General Electric in Alachua, FL. Patricia was active in her church giving freely of her time to play the piano and organ for services.

 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her four loving daughters, Karen Potts (Stephen Potts) of Starke, FL, Laura Dampier of Gainesville, FL, Cindy Luttfring (Rich Luttfring) of Apopka, FL, Kimberly Haines (David Haines) of St. Augustine, FL, a sister, Mary Stephens of Reynolds Station, KY, a brother, Charles W. Scherer (Noveda) of Hawesville, KY,  and 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 nieces and 1 nephew.

 

The family will host a celebration of her life with a ceremony on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Jonesville Baptist Church, 17722 SW 15th Avenue, Newberry, FL 32669.

    Pat was the wonderful neighbor and had a beautiful soul. When I would ask her how she is doing, she would always say "I was fine until I got over it". Then she would smile. I certainly miss her. My sympathies and prayers for the family. Love, Kim

    Your Mom was always so very sweet, putting up with me. She was a precious soul and she loved others. What a blessing to have been given to such a sweet caring lady who left some huge shoes to fill. Blessings and prayers to you girls and your families.
