Obituary

In Loving Memory of Patricia (Pat) Treiling, a devoted mother, grandmother (Nana), Great-Grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 19,2025 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born on May 30, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, Pat lived a life defined by love, kindness and dedication to her family. She was a lifelong resident of Yonkers NY, until she began snow birding to Daytona Beach where she spent her winters with John, her husband of 55 years. The warmer months were spent in her home in Brewster New York. Pat was employed by the City of Yonkers Board of Education for almost 30 years before retiring. Returning to college later in life she earned her Paralegal degree from Iona University.

She raised her children with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support and her grandchildren/great -grandchildren were the light of her life.

Pat was a woman of strong Catholic faith serving as a Eucharistic minister. She had a generous spirit and quiet strength that inspired all who knew her. Whether she was attending school events, baking family favorites, or simply sharing heartfelt conversation, her presence made every moment special. She enjoyed reading, watching her Yankees games and spending time with friends and family. She faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s with grace and resilience, teaching her loved ones the power of patience and the depth of unconditional love.

She is survived by her children, Daughter, Catherine (Treiling) Apollonio, Sons, John Treiling and James (AnnMarie) Treiling, Son-in-law, Frank Lambe, grandchildren (Precious Angels), Nicholas (Caroline) Lambe, Rachel Treiling, Gabrielle Treiling, Olivia Treiling and Aaron Treiling, great-granddaughters, Sophie and Maya Lambe, who will forever treasure her memory and carry her legacy forward. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sheanon and Irene Boris, and her loving husband John Treiling.

A celebration of her life and memorial Mass will be held on February 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St Francis Xavier Church in Ft Myers, Florida, where her family and friends will gather to honor her love and the beautiful memories she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to Hope Hospice House, Cape Coral, Florida. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her gentle soul is now at peace, and her love will remain with them always.

Thank you for allowing the opportunity to get to spend time with you. I enjoyed our times together. Especially when I took you to the brewery and we got to play games. You were a spicy soul, but I loved it. “Rest easy, my beautiful friend. The stars will shine brighter tonight because you're among them"!
