Patrick Michael Ingoldsby, Sr., 70, of New Smyrna Beach died Sunday, September 27, 2009. Pat was born November 18, 1938 in Watertown, NY. He was a graduate of Immaculate heart Academy, and is a veteran of the US Air Force. Pat worked for American Finance Co., Paymaster Corp. of Chicago and owned and operated Pat’s Motorcycle and Snowmobile Sales & Service, Depauville, NY before moving to Florida in 1981. In Florida Pat started Heritage Auto Sales, Ormond Beach and studied computer science at Daytona Beach Community College. In 1991 he founded PATCO Communications, a Florida-based production company. He enjoyed traveling, taking motorcycle trips with his wife and children and entertaining family and friends. Pat was incredibly creative and knowledgeable and was the “go to guy” for everyone. He was also very benevolent. He will be sorely missed by the many whose lives he touched and was a great role model for his children. Pat could make you laugh with his great sense of humor and touch your heart with his beautiful poetry. He is the patriarch of the family and most enjoyed the “Sunday Rides” with his family. For Pat being on his motorcycle and being with his family was the happiest moments of his life. Pat is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Eleanor; four devoted children, Wendy Ingoldsby of Montgomery, AL, P. Michael Ingoldsby, Jr of Port Orange, Kelly Ingoldsby of Prattville, AL and Martin Ingoldsby of Edgewater; five cherished grandchildren; one adorable great grandchild and two siblings, Nancy Garifo and Terry Ingoldsby. My sincerest sympathy on the death of your husband. I enjoyed the article in the Watertown Times. He must have been a wonderful husband and father. Just a short while ago I had an occasion to visit with your sister. She told a little about your life since leaving Depaulville. I admire your accomplishments. I also saw the article on your 50th wedding anniversary. I can't believe how many years have gone by. I still remember picking you up when we both worked at Mercy. I just wanted you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Carol Wiswell Compeau
