Obituary
Paul C. Carlson was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 17, 2022 at 81 years old.
Paul was born on May 3, 1941 in Brockton, MA to Roger and Mamie (Forsberg) Carlson. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1959, then served in the U.S. Military (Army) from 1959 – 1961.
Paul was Chairman of Beaver Cemetery in East Bridgewater, MA for many years. He retired from TJX Companies where he worked for over 20 years and then looked forward to travelling with his wife including cruising with family members, Caribbean vacations and a 6 week cross-country trip.
Paul loved his family and many friends, singing in the church choir as well as Brother’s in Song, cooking and shell fishing on Cape Cod.
He was a long time member of Cape Cod Covenant Church in Brewster, MA before retiring and moving to The Villages, FL where he was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and choir.
Paul’s warm personality and sense of humor made him a beloved neighbor of Rio Ranchero neighborhood. He never knew a stranger; everyone he met would be his new best friend. Paul enjoyed cards, dice and all neighborhood social gatherings as well as being involved in The Villages Parkinson’s Exercise and Support Group and the friendships he developed there.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice Carlson; son David Carlson of TX, daughter, Tracy Rollins and husband Franklin (Bud) MacPhie of Lady Lake, FL, and son, David Rollins of TX. Also survived by grandchildren April Carlson, Faith Rollins and Benjamin Rollins; and great-granddaughter Fallon Carlson.
Service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and will be streamed live at https://hope4all.church/live.
