Obituary
Paul Sanders Gauvin (Sandy) July 29, 1948 – December 30, 2020 of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and West Bath, Maine. Sandy was predeceased by his mother, Octavia Sanders Gauvin and by his father, Darrah (Hank) Gauvin. Born and brought up in Greenville, Maine he went to the University of Maine at Orono. He lived in CT while working at Scorpion Fasteners as a salesman, office manager and CEO before retiring in 2006 and moving to Maine. After retiring he and Gail spent many happy winters in Bequia, SVG.
He leaves behind his wife, Gail Monaco Gauvin and his children Robin Desy, Bryce Desy and Justin Desy. His grandchildren Benjamin Duva, Jason Duva, Annabelle Lograsso (Sam), Quinn Duva, Maxine Duva, Olivia Desy and Justin Desy, Jr. He also leaves two great-grandchildren, Beau Lograsso and Yvaine Lograsso. In addition he leaves his siblings Darralyn Gauvin, Donald (Joe) Gauvin, Jan Douglass (Steve) and Jean Lee (Michael). He leaves people behind who are very special to him; Nick Duva, Brian Mooney, Christine Desy, Wilfred and Laura Glynn, Jason Lewis and Charles Harris. He also leaves many special nieces and nephews, in addition to his family, Sandy loved feeding people, eating (especially in restaurants), the beach, music and Leela Mae (his dog). He is predeceased by a grandson, Joseph (Joey) Duva.
There will be no service at this time.
Donations may be made in Sandy’s name to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society.
