Obituary

Paul James (Jim) Hill 86 went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana on January 8,1931 to William and Ocie (Carter) Hill. He married Gloria (Brooks) on June 25,1955. They spent 62 wonderful years together raising a family, traveling, and taking many cruises together with their friends from Edgewater Landing. He enlisted in the USAF, serving in the Korean War from 1950-1954. He retired as Assistant Fire Chief from the Lebanon Fire Department after 20 years of service. Following retirement he and Gloria moved to Daytona Beach, where he worked for Harper Mechanical Corp for 12 years. They headed to Edgewater Landing, Florida where they lived and enjoyed many lasting friendships. Jim lived life to the fullest, enjoying fishing,shrimping and being with friends. He was a member of the Edgewater Union Church, the Elks, the Eagles, and the Korean War Veterans assoc. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria. His older sisters Norma Jean Hall and Mildred Saine, both of indianapolis, Also survived by sons Jeff(Mary) Hill, Staunton VA, Gary(Robin) Hill, South Daytona, Daughter MaryAnn(Dean)Jackson,Lebanon,IN. Grandchildren Josh Perman, Fort Lauderdale, Hollie(Drew)Hanson,Lebanon,IN, Sloan(Stephany)Jackson,Lebanon,IN, and Carolina Hill, South Daytona. As well as two great grandchildren Olive and Carter Jackson.

Memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday April 1, 2017 at Edgewater Union Church 500 South Ridgewood Ave Edgewater FL.
