Obituary

Paul John Morgan died peacefully at his home in Edgewater, FL on November 16, 2023 surrounded by his family. Mr. Morgan was born on December 31, 1931 in Fall River, MA to John Patrick Morgan and Loretta Morgan (Conroy).

After graduating from De La Salle Academy in Newport, RI in 1949 he joined the Air Force and served as the Senior Air Bourne Radio Operator for the 99th Air Transport Squadron during the Korean war. After serving his country Mr. Morgan attended Bryant University graduating with a BSA in Accounting. In the summer of 1954 on a trip to the beach he met Suzanne Sorel and the two married in February 1955.

Mr. Morgan was the Finance and Budget Director for Nova University School of Psychological Studies for 25 years before retiring in 1992. He was known as a generous man with a good sense of humor and a quick and sharp wit. He enjoyed frequent gatherings with his children and family and discussing politics and culture. His knowledge of history and world events was vast and in depth. An insatiable reader with with a super-sized vocabulary he liked a genuine intellectual challenge and knew the meaning and proper use of just about any random dictionary selection. He was an avid golfer and often enjoyed playing couples golf with his wife. He was an opera enthusiast, in particular Wagnerian operas and Bruckner symphonies. He would often tell people that he loved 80’s music… 1880’s he’d say with a smile.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Suzanne Morgan; sons John Morgan (Kristine) of Edgewater, and Dean Morgan (Linda) of Deltona, FL; daughter Michelle Palframan (Lawrence) of Buford, GA; grandchildren Christopher Palframan (Jessica), Vanessa Pruett (Austin) and Jessica Morgan; great-grandchildren, Landon Palframan, Nolan Palframan and Kinleigh Beckham; sister Harriet O’Dell. He is preceded in death by his son Bruce P. Morgan and sister Joan Ghio.

Burial will take place in December at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are provided by Baldwin Brothers. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Epilepsy Foundation 3540 Crain Highway Suite 675, Bowie, MD 20716 or www.epilepsy.com.
