Obituary

Paul R. Gaboury, 78, of Summerfield, FL passed away at his residence on February 9, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 14, 1943 in New Rochelle, New York. Paul was a US Navy veteran and proudly served for four years. After his service, he worked as a Florida policeman and then moved to his career in mechanical project management.

Paul is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane W. Gaboury; sons, Vincent Gaboury (Tina), Paul Parolski, Jr.; daughter, Christine Martein (Robert); brother, Carl Thomas (Randi); sister, Mary Maurer. Paul also was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Gaboury; and his parents, Carl and Rose Thomas.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 3:00PM, with a gathering starting at 2:00PM at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 1008 Bichara Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159. The family wishes that donations be made to Autism Speaks at: http://act.autismspeaks.org/goto/PaulGaboury in lieu of flowers.

    I was blessed to have met Mr and Mrs Gaboury, Paul and Diana last Thanksgiving at Tina & Vince’s place. So very easy to talk to, felt like I had known them forever. He is one of the good ones. God must be building a mighty army of good men. My Deepest Condolences to Tina, Vince and Family. Love to you all.

    Paul was a fun man to be around, I loved his banter with Tommy while golfing. His contagious smile and laugh will be missed. God bless Vince , Tina and family with the strength to get through this chapter in their lives. May he Rest In Peace.
