Obituary

Paul J. Trocki, 85, passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was surrounded by the love of his family in his final days.

Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on February 13, 1940, Paul was the son of Stanley and Sophie Trocki. He graduated from Bentley College with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and went on to build a distinguished career in aerospace engineering, working with Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.

A proud veteran, Paul served in the United States Army in post-war Korea, assisting in restoration efforts; a service he regarded with deep honor.

Paul had a quiet love for life’s simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed playing cribbage with his sons, a tradition that brought both competition and connection. He was an avid traveler who loved to cruise, and he found joy in staying active in his home office and keeping up with political affairs.

Throughout his life, Paul remained involved in his community. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge in Massachusetts, Orlando, and Ormond Beach, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also spent time with the local Kiwanis Club before his illness limited his activities.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his sons, Paul (Mary) and Robert (Victoria); and his stepson, R. Scott Gilloz. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol Rich; nine grandchildren; and four—soon to be six—great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Their presence in his final days was a great comfort and testament to the love he cultivated throughout his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Sandra Trocki, and his older brother, Stanley.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Paul’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.

Paul will be remembered for his steady strength, quiet generosity, and enduring love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
