Obituary
Peggy Sue Stidham, 68, resident of Pomona Park, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Peggy was born in Norton, Virginia on August 30, 1949 to Clarence and Ruby Stidham. Peggy has been known as a woman of very strong opinions, and one who only marched to the beat of her own drummer. Besides her deep love of family, she greatly enjoyed socializing, dancing as well as picknicks and cookouts. She loved classic rock and the sounds of the 1970’s, especially the music of Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival and on occasion, the Bee Gees. Peggy was very comfortable being the center of attention and politicking, so much to the point that it was said that there are four major political parties in the United States, “Democrat, Republican, Independent and Peggy”. When asked what might be one of Peggy’s family’s favorite stories about her, a particular trip to Busch Gardens was brought up. She was known for having her hair and makeup looking just right, but Peggy wanted to go on the water rides at the amusement park. Needless to say, she came away with a wet, messed-up hairdo and runny mascara. “I don’t care if I look like a raccoon or not!”, Peggy said. She was having fun and wasn’t about to let anything get in her way.
Peggy is predeceased by her parents, Clarence Gordon Stidham and Ruby Helen Stidham (Huff).
She is survived by: her children, Larry Puckett, Danny Stidham and Patricia Hiller; by her sister, Glenda Bryant; by her grandchildren, Justin Stidham, Courtney Lambert, Christopher Stidham, Sierra Puckett, Dylan Ross, Austin Stidham, Ashley Hiller and McKayla Hiller; and by her great-grandchildren, Heaven Crosby, Logan Hiller, L.J. Stidham, Colton Lambert, JJ Stidham, Ella Lambert, Aubrey Ross, AJ Stidham and Landon Puckett.
Any services for Peggy are private at this time and at the discretion of her family.
