He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and killed many a critter from his recliner after his active hunting days were over. He had a great love for dogs and other pets. One of his greatest loves, well besides food, was auto racing where many a friendship was formed. You always knew where you stood with him because he was sure to tell you, a trait that he passed on to his family. Also passed on is the love of a roaring outdoor bonfire which his family will continue to carry on.

    Dear Paula & Family:

We're extremely sadden to hear of our dear friend Pete's passing, he was truly a one of a kind individual and a true friend to many. In particular he was a great friend of mine in which I was privileged to have known Pete and most of the family for over 44 year's, he was always my go to expert on any topic of which he was a great resource and a font of knowledge as well as experience. He was the first person to offer a hand and he would welcome everyone to his home. He was an individual of principal and yes he had his own opinions like all of us have but he had unquestionable integrity and credibility and he always had your back. He loved life and his entire family especially his grandchildren as well as his inexhaustible circle of friends all over the country. His tomato pie was a delicious treat to many of his friends and his quick wit would challenge anyone; I cite many of his one liner's that bring a smile to my face almost daily. Pete and I shared many things in common with one of them being a true love of a campfire and/or woodstove. One of my favorites is..."Don't worry about the wood Ma, Dad's coming home with a load!!!!!". Although Pete and Paula relocated from the Upstate NY area we continued our friendship that had been forged year's before as an attestation that good friend's can transcend the many miles between us. Pete was and forever will be my good friend and I'll miss him dearly. He was one of the really good guys in life and myself and my family are forever changed in having had Pete in our life...

    In Sympathy and Friendship,

    Ed and Kim Garrow
