Obituary
Peter Santangelo, Jr. passed away suddenly Sept. 26, at 54 years old.
He was born and grew up in the Middletown, CT. area until 1999 when he moved to Daytona Beach, FL. with his fiance, Lori. They had attended many Daytona Bike Weeks and decided they liked the Florida weather so much that they wanted to stay.
Pete, or “Thinman”, as he was known as to many of his old friends, was an avid motorcyclist and loved to play pool, and he was quite good at it. He was also a strong supporter of second amendment rights.
Pete took everything to heart and had a heart of gold and was always ready to help his friends.
Pete is survived by his fiance Lori McPherson of Daytona Beach and her sons Jason and Daniel, his wife Sarah, of CT. , his Mom and Dad, Peter Sr. and Barbara Santangelo of Daytona Beach, his sister Chari Santangelo and her children Lucas, Nick, and Rachel of Newington, CT., Dennis Santangelo of Daytona Beach and his sons Dennis Jr. and Christopher of CT. , and Marcey Santangelo of Daytona Beach and her son Jacob of CT., and his nephew/brother Scott of Portland, CT., and his aunts and uncles.
He is also survived by his many sweet furry babies.
There is a guest book available if anyone would like to leave a few words about Pete.
He will be missed.
Miss you already.
RIP sweet Pete.
I was getting ready today for trip south to Middletown CT. My first trip there in many years. I was thinking of you and Pete over the last few days. This sad news leaves me with a very heavy heart. So many of the good memories. I carry were shared with you guys. Playing on the pool team, riding our bikes, helping running the bar at bike week and just talking about the crazy world we live in. My thoughts are with you now. I will always keep Pete in my heart and head. My cell is (315) 323-4632 if you need anything. We now call Chase Mills NY home in upstate NY.
Pete was always great to hang around with, and would come around my Auto repair shop in Meriden,Ct. just to hang out and keep our bikes maintained.
I changed my life and decided to move to Southern California in 1986. I lost touch with Pete until the last year or so on Facebook. I was so excited to know he was around in Florida and that I was planning on moving in that area in the few months and was going to catch up with an old friend again. Unfortunately time waits for no one. He’ll be missed. Enjoy your ride my friend!
I MISS YOU OLD FART
I am so very sorry for your loss! I didn’t know Pete very well but I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet him at Sarah and Dan’s wedding. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I used to tell my children that I never wanted to see any of them go before me. He didn't listen, did he?
When his time came, no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. He was gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
We will miss you every day Pete.
Love always,
Mom & Dad
