Philip “Phil” M. Begosh, 69, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away suddenly
on November 22, 2021 with his family by his side.
Phil was born on February 19, 1952 in Washington, D.C. He was raised in
Rockville, MD where he established his career in the US Postal Service
and Begosh Tax Service. Phil, an avid golfer, and his wife, Emily, moved to
South Carolina in 2000, where he excelled in his career and retired as
Postmaster of the Longs, SC branch of the USPS. After retirement from the
postal service in 2007, he continued his career with Begosh Tax Service
and became a realtor. In 2008, Phil and Emily found their dream home and
relocated to Fort Myers.
Phil was predeceased by his parents, Andrew J. Begosh and Marjorie Begosh
(Homnick), his brother, Martin J. Begosh and his favorite cats, Chuy and Max.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife, Emily (Davidson); two daughters, April
(Chris) Bray and Melanie (John) Suthard; five grandchildren, Sydney (Geo)
Meneses, Hailey Suthard, Peyton Bray, Trent Suthard and Quinlyn Bray;
brothers, Andrew (Gayle) Begosh, Jr., Allan Begosh, Frederick (Lisa Sims)
Begosh and Joseph (Lori) Begosh; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
His family and friends would agree Phil truly lit up any room with his bright and
loving personality. He never took things too seriously and always looked at the
positive side. He was the life of the party and could make anyone laugh with
his contagious smile and sense of humor.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date in Maryland. All will be
welcome to attend and celebrate Phil’s life. The family would like to thank
each and everyone for the prayers, texts, love and support.
My sincere condolences to Phil's wife, Emily, and family. Eddie Galloway
Just a word of encouragement " People die, their memories last forever"
I will miss you and miss your messages.
Love you, CUZ.
Seeing your smiling face is very heartwarming to me and my family. It hurts so badly that you have passed but I’m glad that you are no longer suffering. You brought so much joy throughout the years to me and my family . Being married to CAROL BEGOSH Keller you brought two beautiful daughters into the world as well as grandchildren that you could be proud of. We will miss you so much and my heart aches for you but so glad you are no longer suffering. We know what cancer does as we’ve seen it too often with past love ones. You are at peace and you will remain in our hearts forever. As well as your dear wife Emily. We love you Phil. Please R.I.P. dear Phil . ❤️❤️❤️❤️
