Obituary: Philip J. Moherek May 24,1943_December 10,2024
Philip was the fourth of five sons born in Passaic, New Jersey to Emil and Anna Moherek. He is predeceased by his oldest brother Emil. Surviving brothers are Michael, Edward, and Anthony. Phil and his first wife Elisabeth (who predeceased him in death) lived in North Jersey and bore two children, Philip Joseph (PJ) and Maryanne; and have four grandchildren; Christopher, David, Contessa, and Michael. Three residing in New Jersey and one in North Carolina.
He became a talented machinist and purchased his father’s machine shop (E.M.Machine &Tool.Inc.) . Phil was an innovative and creative person who introduced cutting edge technology utilizing “state of the art” CNC Equipment to successfully grow the company from which he retired.
Phil was an avid fisherman and boater throughout his life. Obtaining his Pilot’s license from the US Coast Guard. Always taking many of his family and friends to enjoy fishing with him.
Phil married Rosemarie Bruno on October 8, 2000, living an active life visiting family and friends They relocated over 20 years ago to On Top of the World, Candler Hills Community in Ocala, Florida. He became active in its CDD and always thought first of the betterment of the community. He was an enthusiastic golfer and Treasurer of the RC Flyers Club.
Phil was a devoted and proud father. He had an out going and friendly personality who welcomed all into his home for “good times.”
He will always be missed and remembered by his wife, brothers, children, grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. He was a good man.
