Obituary
Phyllis Jourdan Carlson, 84, of The Villages went home to be with the Lord on Monday,May 28, 2018.
She was a faithful servant of Christ, a Gold Life Master in Bridge, and loved opera, classical music, crossword puzzles, and reading.
She is survived by 7 loving children, too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to count, 2 sisters, and many nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chapel of Christian Faith with Paster Keith Johnson officiating on Monday June 4 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
She was never afraid to voice her opinion, but respected yours.
An avid football fan-you didn’t interrupt a SF 49’s game. She studied politics and was up for a good intelligent debate anytime. She was a competitive bridge player and loved keeping her mind sharp playing games that required it.
I didn’t grow up knowing her older children but I watched her raise three amazing children around my age and by herself.
She was a good hearted, caring, classy, Christian lady and I’m proud to have known her.
Rest in external peace.
My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
