Born in Moose Lake, MN on July 5, 1946, she was the beautiful daughter born to the late Hilja (Lee) Eaton and Charles Eaton. After graduating from High School, Phyllis attended Nursing School in Duluth, MN. Later in life she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she was the Branch Manager for New Hermes Plastics. Phyllis was CEO of her own company, Garcia’s Mexican Foods Inc. While living in Atlanta, on a blind date arranged by one of her employees, she met and married Lamar Phillips. They both recently celebrated their 44th Wedding Anniversary on September 1st. Phyllis had a special bond with Lamar, who was the light of her life! They shared a special bond of love, laughter and tears. They understood each other like no other.
Phyllis loved her family, Jon and Andrea Phillips, Christy Green and the grandchildren, Alec Phillips, Nick Galzerano and Hannah Galzerano. She was loved and adored by them. She was a fabulous storyteller and enjoyed nothing more than making her family and friends all feel loved, protected and happy. Phyllis, in turn, was loved and adored by all. With her cheerful, positive attitude and a never-ending beautiful smile on her face. It would be impossible not to adore her. Her goal in life was to show love and kindness to everyone she knew or crossed her path. Phyllis especially enjoyed making people’s days brighter by posting a good morning message to her friends on Facebook.
Left to mourn her passing are her son and his wife, Jon and Andrea Phillips, her daughter Christy Green and her grandchildren, Alec Phillips, Hannah Galzerano, Nick Galzerano, niece Cindy Noble, and many other friends.
