Obituary

Rae A. Ackerman, 93, of Daytona Beach died Thursday, May 5, 2011 with her family by her side.  Rae was born February 11, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY.  She enjoyed playing tennis, golf and snow skiing.  Rae was also an avid reader.  She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Herb; daughter, Leslie  Eichler; three grandchildren, Christopher Eichler, Lani Sullivan and Logan Eichler and four great grandchildren, Braden, Brison, Linden & Mason.     I just learned of Rae's passing. I worked with Rae for many years at Weight Watchers and always enjoyed her stories about her life and family. She was a super lady!

    Dear Family, I am so very sorry about the loss of your dear loved one. May the thought at Job 33:25 give you comfort in knowing that Mrs. Ackerman will return to the days of her youth and be able to enjoy life without the infirmities of old age. My sincere condolences to you.

    My husband, sister and her daughter are sad to hear of the passing of Rae. We always enjoyed her company and yours each Christmas Eve. She was a great friend to my Mom, Marie Brown and leader of the Waves. We know she will be missed by all of you. Patty and Dale Moy, Sue and Rosalie Sbardella
