Ralph Leonard Grasso, 91, entered peacefully into eternal rest, February 5, 2024, at his home in Venice, Florida, with his wife Evelyn by his side, and surrounded by loving family and friends. Ralph was born January 9, 1933, in Boston MA, to Libera and Rocco Grasso, of Needham MA. He graduated from Needham High School, where he played hockey and the saxophone. Ralph then attended Tilton Academy, where he graduated as valedictorian, and then went on to attend The University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Ralph called many places home. He lived in Starksboro, Vermont where he owned Mt. View Creamery, and then built a beautiful home in Richmond, Vermont with his wife Evelyn, before making his final resting place in Venice, Florida. Ralph was an avid sports fan, and just as anybody who knew him knows, he especially liked playing golf. He spent many a day playing golf with family & friends at Sugarbush & Essex golf clubs in Vermont. Ralph would play golf no matter where he was. He was also a quintessential entrepreneur. Trying his hand at many businesses, he was the epitome of an entrepreneurial spirit. Ralph is survived by his four children from his first marriage, Kathleen Grasso, Renee Grasso, Patricia Jordan, and Peter Grasso and his wife Linda. He is also survived by his wife, Evelyn Grasso and her five children, Debora Ladwig and her husband Jeffrey, Donnie Mashia & his wife Rita, Danny Mashia & his wife Michelle, David Mashia & his wife Michelle, and Darin Mashia. Ralph is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, Ben Jordan, Carter Grasso, Krista Herrera, Shane Ladwig,Kyle Ladwig, Tasha Silva, Joey Mashia, Tyler Mashia, Reese Mashia, Ashley Mashia, Cole Mashia, Austin Mashia, Lexie Mashia and 11 great grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by his cousin Arlene Beecher of Needham, with whom he considered a sister and lifelong friend. Ralph was a great friend, loving husband and father to many. He brought great joy to his family and had left a wonderful impact on everyone he has met. Ralph’s passing will leave a void in everyone’s life that has known him, but his memory will remain forever in our hearts.
All friends and family are invited to attend a
